New Patient – Your First Visit

Your first visit at Commonwealth Family Chiropractic is designed to figure out the underlying cause of your complaint and the best and fastest way to take care of the problem. You will sit down with Dr. Wilding and discuss the history of your current complaint, which includes what you think caused the problem, as well as things that alleviate or aggravate your condition. He will discuss your past medical history and review other areas of your health history that may be contributing to your current complaint. Imaging and tests that you have had completed in other offices will be reviewed, as well as your current medications. It is important to review all of these factors to get a complete picture of what is causing your complaint. Dr. Wilding will then perform an orthopedic and neuroligical examination to determine the cause of the complaint. He may order additional tests if necessary to be performed at another location.

With all the information gathered, Dr. Wilding will be able to diagnose your condition and decide if you will benefit from the care he is able to provide. Usually, he will perform some type of palliative (comfort) care on your first visit and/or apply a brace. If he decides that you are a chiropractic case, he will design an individual treatment plan utilizing the many treatments at his disposal. It is at that point or possibly your next visit that he will present his Report of Findings.
